AUTOMATED DETECTION OF CANCER CELLS IN CYTOLOGICAL SMEARS

The consortium of Delta Services Kft., SIGHTSPOT NETWORK Kft., and the University of Debrecen won HUF 587.64 million in non-refundable European Union support through the call for proposals titled “K+F versenyképességi és kiválósági együttműködések” within the Széchenyi 2020 program.

The aim of the project is to create an automatic system capable of recognizing signs of cervical cancer in digitized traditionally prepared smears (so-called Papanicolaou smears). The system will be able to detect cells that show potential abnormalities in the digitized smears, thereby reducing the burden on clinical experts, speeding up diagnosis, and shortening the time to treatment, which overall leads to an improvement in care. The project is being realized within the framework of the Széchenyi 2020 program.

Beneficiary consortium member: SIGHTSPOT NETWORK Kft.

  • Consortium leader: Delta Systems Kft.
  • Project title: Automated Detection of Cancer Cells in Cytological Smears Contracted
